BRANFORD, Conn. - End-to-end Internet kiosks solutions provider Netkey Inc. announced today that Frank Newman, chairman emeritus of Bankers Trust Corp., has joined its board of directors.
Newman became chairman emeritus of Bankers Trust in 1999 after serving as chairman and CEO of both Bankers Trust and its principal banking subsidiary, Bankers Trust Co., since 1996.
Before joining Bankers Trust, Newman was the deputy secretary and chief operating officer of the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1993 to 1995. Previously, Newman spent six years with BankAmerica Corporation, where he was CFO and vice chairman of the board of directors.
Prior to joining BankAmerica in 1986, Newman was with Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco and named executive vice president and CFO in 1980. He is currently a director of Dow Jones & Co., Korea First Bank and three Internet-based companies: Choicelinx Corp., inzigo inc. and Invertica Inc.
In addition to Newman, the Netkey board includes Netkey President and CEO Alex Richardson; Inder Soni of Zero Stage Capital; Rob Spessard of CyberStarts; veteran technology specialist Paul R. Low of PRL Assoc.; Ken Frank of Akzo Nobel; and Elizabeth Karter, former CEO of Resource Recovery Systems Inc.
