Foodservice company awards tech contract

April 20, 2003

BUFFALO, N.Y.--Barrister Global Systems Network Inc. announced it has been awarded a three-year, multi-million-dollar contract to provide point-of-sale maintenance services for a large, unnamed foodservice company.

Buffalo-based Barrister provides multi-vendor IT services, including installation and kiosk services for in-store operations, as well as a broad range of multi-vendor services for corporate and store locations. The company manages more than 15,000 certified technicians throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, according to a news release.

The release states that Barrister will deliver on-demand, on-site maintenance for POS receipt printers at the company's flagship restaurant chain, serving more than 600 restaurant locations nationwide.

Barrister will service multi-vendor thermal and impact point-of-sale receipt printers that enable the printing of guest checks to complete customer transactions.

The contract follows the successful completion of a three-month pilot program for restaurant locations in the Southeast. Beginning in mid-April, the service will extend to all locations throughout the country.
