CityBase, a provider of government and utility payment technology and services, is teaming with the City of Edgewater, Fla., to install a 24/7 self-service payment kiosk for customers to pay water bills.
The city secured CARES Act funding for the CityBase payment kiosk as a COVID-related expense to eliminate person-to-person contact for both residents and city staff. The outdoor payment kiosk will be located outside Edgewater City Hall, at 104 North Riverside Drive, Edgewater, Florida.
Customers can pay water bills using a credit or debit card, check or cash and have the option to print a receipt, or have it sent via email or SMS text. All kiosk functionality is ADA compliant, meeting accessibility standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act, and will be available in English and Spanish.
Payments post in real-time to the city's customer information system, and staff can securely and remotely manage all transactions via CityBase revenue management.
