FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Broward County, Fla., officials, on a constant lookout for ways to inform tourists and local citizens about activities and entertainment options in the area, have discovered a new option: a kiosk.
Broward County unveiled its new kiosk on Nov. 30 at a ceremony at the main branch of the Fort Lauderdale Library. The kiosk will feature information and ticketing options for local cultural and entertainment events, along with directions to each event and printable maps.
The kiosk, which was developed by Cybertotems, is part of a new Cultural Information Center launched by local officials. The Broward County Commission's Cultural Affairs Division, Broward Libraries, Broward Mass Transit, and Broward Center for the Performing Arts are taking part in the program.
