Florida hospital system deploys prescription kiosks

Westchase, Florida area residents will be able to fill prescriptions at two SpotRx pharmacy kiosks provided by AdventHealth, an Altamonte Springs, Florida-based hospital system, according to a Patch.com. report.

The kiosks will provide over-the-counter products, acute and chronic medications as well as eye drops, creams and test strips. The kiosks will not offer controlled substances such as oxycodone or diazepam.

Patients insert a prescription receipt to receive the medication.

One SpotRx pharmacy kiosk is available at AdventHealth Care Pavilion Westchase and another will be installed at AdventHealth Care Pavilion Heath Brook Commons in Ocala, Florida.
