Florida county installs vehicle renewal kiosk

Residents of Seminole County, Florida, can renew their vehicle registration at an outdoor self-service kiosk at a Publix supermarket in Altamonte Springs, one of several Florida counties to offer the service, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

The kiosk, provided by Intellectual Technology Inc., accepts credit and debit cards, verifies proof of insurance and charges a $3.95 convenience fee.

The kiosk does not permit renewals for persons with outstanding driver's license or toll violations.
