ATLANTA--FlickStation Media Inc. has worked out a deal to deploy its DVD rental machines in the Atlanta and Pasadena, Calif., corporate offices of EarthLink Inc., an Internet service provider.
According to a press release, robotic technology coupled with user-friendly software allows a customer to rent a DVD in just a few seconds. The FlickStation is about the size of a soft drink machine and holds more than 2,100 DVDs.
"Being part of the FlickStation community means no more extra trips to the movie store and no more waiting for the mail to arrive with your DVD," said Dean Gebert, president and CEO of FlickStation Media.
"Providing our employees with the convenience of renting DVDs at the office is an excellent way to bring an element of fun to the workplace," said Stacie Hagan, director of employee communications for EarthLink.
FlickStation accepts credit and debit cards, Gebert said.
