Flextronics forecasts growth as 1Q numbers dip from 2009
April 30, 2010
Kiosk and self-service solution manufacturer Flextronics reported slightly lower sales figures for the first quarter of 2010 compared to 2009, but company officials still remained positive about the coming year.
According to a company press release, net sales dropped from $6.6 billion in Quarter 1 of 2009 to $5.9 billion this year. Likewise, adjusted net income dropped from $138 million to $130 million over the same time span.
Other numbers showed more promise. The company's revenue is expected to climb to $6.1 to $6.6 billion in the next quarter, and Flextronics CFO Paul Read noted in the release that the company's cash flow has been positive for seven consecutive quarters.
