Finalists announced for KioskCom's Interactive Kiosk Excellence Awards

Organizers have announced the finalists in the 3rd Annual KioskCom Interactive Kiosk Excellence Awards contest. The winners will be announced at KioskCom 2004, April 26-28 in Las Vegas

"The applicants are the ones that set the standards of excellence for future interactive self-service technology implementations," said KioskCom Executive Director Lawrence Dvorchik.

Finalists include best kiosk applications in several categories:

Retail Environment: BMW X3 Lite Kiosk (Netkey); Cricket (Circle K); Kaufhof Warenhaus AG; QuickPIX QPIX 2000 (Touchpoint Solutions); Sheetz "Made to order" Self-Service Kiosks (Radiant Solutions).

Government Agency: The North Carolina Tourism Kiosk (Technology Portals Inc.); the United State Postal Service (KIS); US Visit (KIS).

Financial Services: Cricket (Circle K/KIS); Fidelity Automated Deposit Machine; Fidelity Kiosks.

Travel, Hospitality or Entertainment: The North Carolina Tourism Kiosk (Technology Portals Inc.); Muvico Theaters (Radiant Systems); NEPTUNE Public Access Terminal (KIS); Shibby (KIS); TNS Surf and Burn (Touch N Surf).

Public Access: Boyne City Public School District's Interactive Kiosk; NEPTUNE Public Access Terminal (KIS); Shibby (KIS); TNS Surf Burn and Run (Touch N Surf); UNL Beadle Center (Nanonation).

Software Application: American Suzuki Motor Corp.; Apunix Computer Services; Marsh Supermarkets Customer Facing Networks (SCI); MediaMax 2000 (MediaSolution Inc.); TSS Enterprise/Vlade Divac Charitable Management & Ticketing System (WebRaiser Technologies).

Hardware/Enclosure Design: BMW Portable Wireless Kiosk (Frank Mayer & Associates); Neptune 1000 New Wave Product Range (Marconi Interactive Systems); NEPTUNE Public Access Terminal (KIS); QuickPIX 2000 (KIS); Shibby (KIS).
