Fast-pass not so fast at San Jose airport

Mercury News: One month after fast-pass security lanes opened at San Jose's airport, only about one-third of the Bay Area travelers who applied to join the program have been cleared. And the promised shoe-scanning technology has yet to materialize.Although "Clear'' lanes are averaging about 20 to 25 users a day at Mineta San Jose International, some fliers who applied for the cards when enrollment kiosks opened in October — at an annual membership fee of $99.95 — still haven't received them.
