Fanuc America, a leader in industrial automation, will demonstrate food-grade robots and automation solutions at Pack Expo Las Vegas from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The company's technology is designed to help food manufacturers increase sanitation, improve efficiency and address labor shortages, according to a press release.
The showcased technologies include the DR-3iB/6 Stainless IP69K-rated delta robot and a food-grade SR-12iA/C SCARA robot, which use vision-guided automation to handle food products. The robots are built with hygienic, washdown-capable designs, are IP69K-rated against water and dust, and use NSF-H1 certified food-grade grease.
"Fanuc continues to lead the industry in developing food-grade cobot and robot solutions that meet the highest standards for hygiene, reliability and performance," Eric Potter, general manager, robot application engineering, FANUC America, said in the release. "Our technologies help food manufacturers automate safely and efficiently to overcome labor challenges, boost productivity and maintain consistent quality in demanding environments."
The company's lineup includes a variety of robotic solutions for picking, packing and palletizing, along with new software features like a redesigned teach pendant and enhanced cybersecurity protocols.
