EV charging installations continue in New York

The New York Power Authority has installed four electric vehicle fast charging station in downtown Saratoga Springs, with more to come, according to a news10.com report.

The stations can be used by any electric vehicle and can recharge most of the battery capacity in 20 minutes.

Four EV chargers were also installed at Stewart's Shops on Route 9 in Moreau for a total of eight in Saratoga County. NYPA has installed 52 chargers statewide since 2020.

The chargers are part of the EVolve NY initiative, which plans for 70 chargers in operation and 30 more awaiting to be completed this month. The plan is to have chargers that can recharge vehicles every 50 miles or less in 15 to 30 minutes.
