Engrain releases touch system for student housing

The touchscreen technology provider Engrain has announced the expansion of its focus to include student housing with its new TouchTour system.

According to a company news release, TouchTour allows students and their families to check housing availability by room or by bed. It can also provide:

• Amenity information;
• Media gallery;
• Interactive campus map;
• Local hotspot details;
• Transit schedules; and
• Parent FAQ.

"Our collaboration with some of the most successful companies in multi-family housing has led to tremendous advances in functionality for our TouchTour system," said Melissa Pasquale, vice president of product development at Engrain. "It has also helped us expand our thinking about the environments in which TouchTour can have a positive impact on lease-up rates, resident communication and more. Student housing, with its very tech-savvy users, is at the top of that list."
