March 20, 2002

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - Jordan's Furniture Company has selected Emplanet Inc. to service its 401(k) plan, according to an Emplanet news release.

Jordan's, the Massachusetts-based furniture company owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B), has 1,500 employees and more than $25 million in plan assets.

To aid the majority of Jordan's plan participants who do not have Web access at work, Westborough, Mass.-based Emplanet has added 10 information kiosks, called Employee Power Centers.

The kiosks are located in warehouses and employee lounges. The kiosk application includes information about investing, to help participants create a successful retirement saving strategy.

All the material featured on the kiosks, as well as on the plan's Web site, have been designed to convey a Jordan look-and-feel. For example, when plan participants logon to the Employee Power Center, Jordan owners Barry and Eliot Tatelman greet them and emphasize the importance of retirement savings.
