Elo TouchSystems introduces new LCD touchmonitor

May 9, 2004

FREMONT, Calif.-- Elo TouchSystems, Inc., launched  a new Entuitive 1925L 19in liquid crystal display (LCD) desktop touchmonitor, according to a company press release.

The new 1925L joins the recently announced 1947L 19in rear mount touchmonitor as part of the company's family of 12, 15, 17 and 18in LCD desktop and chassis touchmonitors that feature Elo's IntelliTouch surface wave or AccuTouch fivewire resistive touch technologies.

"The design of the new Entuitive 1925L 19in LCD desktop touchmonitor was created on the drawing board to address the key needs of touch applications requiring a large, visually appealing display," says Mike Sigona, Elo's marketing manager Europe.

"The new 1925L touchmonitor includes 'designed for touch' features such as a stable tilt base, OSD features on the side of the monitor with special lockout function for public use, builtin touch LED status indicator, speakers and two external USB ports, as well as its standard USB and serial touch interface."

According to Sigona, Elo now offers touchmonitors for indoor/outdoor kiosks, ticketing machines, medical equipment, and industrial automation applications, available with a choice of touch technologies.   "Elo's new Entuitive 1925L 19in LCD touchmonitor has a wide viewing angle  170° vertical by 170° horizontal  and stands out because of the distinctive styling of its metal base and metal bezel with thin borders," says Michael Bartelmess, Elo's Director of product management Europe.

"Its overall stability is attained by incorporating two mounting holes on the base bottom for tabletop security. With  brightness of 300cd/m, contrast ratio of 700:1, screen resolution of 1280 x 1024, and the ability to display 16.7 million colours, Elo's 1925L 19in LCD desktop touchmonitor presents an attractive display that grabs the user's attention."

Both the Entuitive 1925L desktop and 1947L rear mount touchmonitors provide a longerlasting product cycle because their enclosures are controlled by Elo's design specifications.

"This means that future panel upgrades are possible without external changes," says Sigona.
