Elo Touch Systems approved for NEC-Mitsubishi displays

February 8, 2004

CHICAGO - Touchscreen manufacturer Elo TouchSystems Inc. has been named one of two third-party integrators approved for Integration Select, a new monitor integration program launched by NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America Inc. The other company is Pixelink, the integration display division of Richardson Electronics Ltd.

The Integration Select program was created by NEC-Mitsubishi so third-party integrators could add their touchscreen or protective glass panels to the company's line of monitors. Elo TouchSystems had to meet NEC-Mitsubishi standards for quality control, manufacturing, and other compliance requirements.

As part of the program, touchscreen technology can be added to the NEC MultiSync LCD1550V, LCD1850X, LCD2010X, and LCD1850E monitors. The integrations will be available in capacitive, surface wave, and five-wire resistive technologies. Other monitors will join the program at a later date.
