FREMONT, Calif. - Elo TouchSystems, which designs and manufactures touchscreens and touch monitors for use in kiosks and other systems, has reached a partnership agreement with touchscreen software developer Touch Industries.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will engage in a number of joint activities, including joint marketing opportunities, client partnerships, and Web-based product placement.
Touch Industries joins Elo TouchSystems's TouchReady program, which identifies Elo partners based on their market focus. Touch Industries is listed as a point-of-sale (retail) partner. Touch Industries focuses on software for retail point-of-sale applications. According to a Touch Industries press release, the company has about 6,000 of its systems in place in 1,600 retail outlets, including Kinko's and True Value Hardware branches.
Based in Fremont, Calif., Elo TouchSystems is a division of Tyco Electronics and has regional offices in Asia, Europe, South America, and Australia.
