Electric Era has launched the Electric Era Charging Station Network, an initiative designed to improve the visibility and accessibility of its DC fast chargers for electric vehicle drivers.

Until now, the company's chargers, which have a 96% positive PlugShare score and 98% per-port uptime, were often branded under the names of retail customers such as Costco Wholesale, Plaid Pantry and Skycharger, making them difficult for drivers to find specifically as Electric Era units. This network addresses this by making the charging locations discoverable on OEM vehicle mapping systems and third-party platforms, according to a press release.

The network is available on PlugShare and Google Maps, with plans for integration on Hubject and WEX fleet management platforms in the coming weeks. Tesla already includes Electric Era chargers in its mapping systems through its Third Party Charging program.

The network will also benefit retail partners by attracting EV drivers to their locations, according to the company.

"From the start, Electric Era's mission was to transform the EV charging industry by building the most reliable EV charging network in America," Quincy Lee, Electric Era founder and CEO, said in the release. "Now we're helping our retailer customers leverage reliability to build their brand affinity and customer loyalty programs to grow their business."

Electric Era's chargers are designed by a team of former SpaceX, Blue Origin and Amazon Project Kuiper engineers. The company states that the chargers feature automated fault detection and over-the-air repairs, which contribute to their high reliability. Users have praised the chargers for their ease of use, including the ability to tap and pay without a specialized app, and their high-speed 200 kW charging power.
