eKiosk announces agreement with US Airways Clubs

April 25, 2002

NEW LENOX, Ill. - US Airways will begin offering customers high-speed Internet access with its eKiosk workstations this month at US Airways Clubs in New York City, Rochester, N.Y., and Pittsburgh.

Airports in these cities will be the first of the 26 US Airways Club facilities to receive multiple eKiosks, the airline said. At the Pittsburgh International Airport, eKiosks are being installed at the three club locations at Concourses A, B and C.

Three styles of workstations will be installed at the US Airway Clubs: wall-mounted eBooths; space neutral TransPorter eKiosks, and desktop Executive Offices. The units are fully equipped with a stereo headphone jack, speaker, video camera and microphone. USB, RJ-11 and RJ-45 data and high-speed modem ports, an infrared port, a FlashReader for IBM MicroDrive discs, and a floppy disc drive are also included.

US Airways Club members can leave their personal computers at home or connect their laptops, palmtops and other handheld devices to the Internet by eKiosk's wired, wireless, infrared and modem data ports.

The first ten minutes of Internet browsing on the eKiosk terminals are sponsored, allowing travelers to check their e-mail or browse the Web free of charge.
