Ecolab invests in Miso Robotics

Ecolab, a water, hygiene and infection prevention provider, has invested in Miso Robotics, the creator of Flippy, the autonomous robotic kitchen assistant that automates the fry station for QSR restaurants, according to a press release. The amount of investment was not disclosed.

Miso's products leverage computer vision technology to power back-of-house solutions for the restaurant industry.

Ecolab's investment will support Miso Robotics' growth and enable collaboration between the two companies to explore opportunities to enhance food safety, hygiene and efficiency through automation and digital solutions.

"As we look to the kitchen of the future, we are excited to partner with Miso Robotics, a pioneer in AI-driven automation for the foodservice industry and to support their vision of creating a better, safer and more efficient kitchen," John Houghtby, Ecolab's EVP and GM of global specialty, said in the release.
