EcoATM launches donation drive to benefit Boston victims

April 24, 2013

Last week's bombing tragedy has prompted Boston native Tom Tullie, CEO of ecoATM, to launch a donation initiative on the company's electronics recycling kiosks.

From now through May 22, kiosk users will have the option to donate the money they receive from the transaction — with ecoATM matching all donation amounts — to benefit the The One Fund, the charity formed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino.

"Being from the Boston area, I watched the events of last week and wondered how ecoATM could help," Tullie said. "With more than 400 ecoATMs nationwide already accepting donations for charity, it seemed like an easy answer. People can now recycle their old phones, MP3 players and tablets at an ecoATM and easily donate some or all of their proceeds to The One Fund Boston, and ecoATM will match their donations dollar for dollar."
