MILFORD, Conn. - EAO has addressed the risks associated with harsh industrial environments and externally located applications with its range of stainless steel switches, keypads and keyboards. According to a news release, EAO's stainless steel products offer protection of up to IP67 standards against water, heat, shock, vibration and vandalism.
EAO's W.Series keyboards and keypads are incredibly rugged, but do not sacrifice the smooth key tactile action of normal PC keyboards. Featuring non-flammable keys that cannot be pulled off, they are protected against the ingress of dust and water making them suitable for outdoor use. Customer-specific layouts may be created on request for applications such as Internet kiosks, access control and industrial process-control panels, and banking/payment terminals.
The stainless steel pushbuttons and keypads may be illuminated to allow for use in poorly lit conditions. Additional design options include laser engraving.
