DVDPlay names VP of business development

SAN JOSE ,Calif.— DVDPlay announced that David Borlo has been named vice president of business development. In his new role, Borlo will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of the company's global-sales strategy. By partnering with national grocery store chains, convenience stores and fast food chains, Borlo will grow DVDPlay's installed base 300 percent in the next two years.
Borlo's business and industry expertise enables him to expand DVDPlay's business into major retail outlets such as fast food, major grocery chains and convenience stores. Additionally, Borlo will continue to build out DVDPlay's pre-existing network of customers such as Safeway, Albertsons and Kroger grocery chains.
Prior to joining DVDPlay, Borlo was founder and chief executive of Allure Fusion Media, a proprietary software solution company that specializes in creating digital networks for advertising, promotional and POS marketing. He has consulted as a digital media specialist for global retailers and global agencies, led innovation in digital signage and serves as a director for start-up companies. Borlo began his industry career at Earwax Productions inSan Francisco.
