DVD sales down, kiosk revenues up

A recent report released by DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group indicates that DVD and Blu-ray disc sales are down, as is total spending on video rentals, while kiosk revenue was up 55 percent,according to USA Today.

Spending on digital distribution — downloading or viewing on demand — also is up, by more than 23 percent to $1.1 billion.
