December 4, 2014

Supermarket chain Raley's in Reno and Sparks, Nevada, is scheduled to unveil "DMV in a Box" kiosks, according to a press release.

The DMV touchscreen kiosks can process and print registration certificates, driving records and duplicate driver's licenses. DMV customers completed 577,771 transactions at the kiosks during 2014, according to DMV officials. The kiosks were installed to eliminate DMV queues.

"Our kiosks have been widely accepted as a great way to conduct your DMV business right in your neighborhood," DMV Director Troy Dillard said in a statement. "Our focus is finding ways to make the vehicle registration and driver's license process as convenient as possible for our customers,."

The kiosks are located at all Nevada DMV offices and 26 supermarkets and partner locations.
