A pilot program is bringing the DMV to a grocery store in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to a WSOC report.

A self-service kiosk has been installed at the Harris Teeter store off Smith Farm Road. The goal is to cut down on long lines at DMV locations.

Users can renew drivers licenses and state IDs, order duplicate licenses, IDs and permits, change addresses and print temporary IDs, but there's a fee — it costs around $5 to use the kiosk and a 2.35% card fee to use credit cards.
