Display Werks touches kiosk market with new product

June 2, 2002

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Monitor manufacturer Display Werks Inc. has introduced a new 24-inch open-frame LCD monitor that can utilize touch technology. Display Werks is marketing the unit for retail and kiosk applications.

The monitor, housed in an open-frame chassis that can be mounted flush to a surface, or either rear- or front-panel mounted, can be configured with a surface acoustic wave touchscreen for interactive deployments. The screen also accepts standard analog RGB computer graphics and can run NTSC composite video.

The display, which is available for sale immediately, comes with a one-year parts and labor warranty. Display Werks officials said prices varied depending on configuration, but did not offer a sample range in a company news release.

Based in Olympia, Wash., Display Werks started in 1993 and designed LCD displays commercial, retail, and private applications.
