Netimperative: More than 3,000 interactive kiosks are being set up in public areas across the U.K., as part of a new government-backed scheme to provide citizens with greater access to local information. The move is the result of a joint venture between Inspired Broadcast Networks and mylocal, a kiosk-based information service, with the aim of increasing the U.K.'s ability to access e-Government services. The free-to-use kiosks will present eGovernment portal Directgov, and will provide a new channel to advertise local services. The terminals will also give access to mobile content downloads and a CD shop. Click here to read the full story.
