Diebold to bring financial self-service to China

Financial technology company Diebold Inc. has announced it has teamed up with Chinese cloud computing company Inspur Group to bring financial self-service solutions to China.

Financial technology company Diebold Inc. has announced it has teamed up with Chinese cloud computing company Inspur Group to bring financial self-service solutions to China. The goal of the venture is to deploy a range of self-service solutions including ATMs and kiosks to the country, according to the press release.

The joint venture will be named Inspur Financial Information Systems, after the agreement is finalized in 2016. The venture will focus on deploying and maintaining the self-service kiosks, ATMs and other solutions.

"Partnering with Inspur enhances our competitive position and deepens the relationship with our customers in China," said Andy W. Mattes, Diebold president and CEO. "Inspur's strong reputation as a leading China IT company with a global footprint allows our new joint venture to bring more innovative solutions to China's financial institutions and strengthens Diebold's go-to-market strategy in this important market."
