TAIPEI, Taiwan - Saying the emphasis was on flexibility, modularity, and compatibility, DFI Inc. on March 12 launched a new line of interactive PCs designed to fit in custom enclosures.
The KS Series, which includes four models, combines all-in-one computers with LCD touch panels in a steel-frame case. The computers can be mounted in a custom enclosure or deployed separate from a display.
DFI officials said the computers are based on standard computer technology and that standard PC peripherals can connect right into the system. The KS Series is also designed as a plug-and-play computer, so the computer can be used right out of the box.
The computers are designed for use in interactive kiosks, point-of-sale and point-of-information terminals, and gaming machines.
