Detroit offers water and sewer payments at 37 kiosks

June 5, 2017

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department has joined the DivDat Kiosk Network, according to a press release. Detroit water and sewer customers can make payments on their accounts at 37 kiosks at 28 locations in and around the city, including 24-hour sites.

On March 27, DWSD began a soft launch of its participation on the kiosk network prior to a full roll-out that began recently.

Detroit water and sewer customers may visit a kiosk to:

  • Pay with cash, personal check or credit with no extra fee;
  • Review account information using service address or account number, or scan their bill;
  • Have the payment applied to their account the same day; and
  • Conveniently pay near home or work.

The kiosks offer language options for English, Spanish and Arabic.

"We want to give our customers the convenience that the 28-location DivDat Kiosk network offers," Gary Brown, DWSD director, said in the release. "No longer will our customers have to wait in line at a DWSD customer care center to pay their water bill, or rearrange their schedule to come to our centers. Many of the kiosk locations are open seven days a week."
