The city of Detroit installed its first interactive wayfinding kiosk at Cadillac Square in partnership with IKE Smart City, according to a WWJ Newsradio 950 report.

The city plans to have up to 30 kiosks citywide in the next few months.

The kiosk serves as a free Wi-Fi hotspot and offers information about local amenities, activities and resources.

Services include real-time transit feeds, a directory to local businesses, an emergency calling system, job postings, and opinion polls and games, according to the Downtown Detroit Partnership website.
