Detroit hospital tests health screening kiosks

The Henry Ford Health System has teamed with NuVision Technology to launch a pilot of 10 digital health screening kiosks to capture and monitor vital signs without touching the individual, according to a Becker's Health IT report.

The kiosks have no-touch screening monitors that can take a person's temperature via retina scans and ask questions about their COVID-19 status and symptoms.

The pilot's goal is to reduce the number of medical staff to conduct health screenings at hospital entrances. However, if the kiosk detects a person has symptoms, an attendant will direct them to the appropriate place.
