Detroit-based energy company DTE Energy has opened two new Community Customer Offices to improve service to customers living in Northwest Detroit. In addition, it has installed bill-payment kiosks in those new locations, according to a press release.

The kiosks are designed to allow customers to look up and pay their bills without fees. The kiosks accept cash, checks and credit cards and are can be accessed at the offices and at participating Rite Aid locations.

"We've been working hard to introduce a number of self-service account access and payment options for our customers over the past year that provide them with quick and easy ways to access and pay their bills, compare electricity and gas usage data, and sign up for programs to help them better manage their accounts," said David Johnson, vice president of customer service and marketing, DTE Energy. "In addition to the 25 payment kiosks located throughout the community, our customers can access their accounts and pay their bills on the dteenergy.com website and DTE Energy Mobile app, both of which are free and accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

Customers can also utilize eBill Paperless Billing to receive their bills electronically each month, and they can pay their bills online or via mobile app, the agency said.
