The city of Dover, Delaware plans to install parking meters and electric car charging stations downtown, replacing the free parking that currently exists, according to a Delaware News Journal report.

Although the plan has not determined how much downtown parking will cost, it is likely to be $1 to $1.50 per hour.

The street meters are expected along Loockerman Street, adjacent streets and parking lots.
