Dead tone for phone boxes

North Wales Weekly News: BT will convert many of it's loss-making phone booths into high-speed broadband kiosks, with some also being fitted with a cash machine. BT blames the popularity of mobile phones for the decline in telephone box usage and the trend has left few boxes in the region profitable.
