DENVER -- Patrons here can look for love the high-tech way. At least that's the idea behind the Meeting Place.
Meeting Place is a touchscreen kiosk computer system designed to let people hook up immediately, according to a news release.
Developer Gary Schneider said it's a fusion of real-time personals, speed dating and match-making services. Singles can check out one another's vital stats anonymously, then agree to meet. The terminals would be deployed in a bar or nightclub.
The Colorado-based software developer said he hopes for a roll-out in October 2003. He said the technology has applications beyond dating, like reuniting parents and their lost kids.
