Datalogic, a provider of automatic data capture and process automation solutions, has invested an undisclosed sum in AWM Smart Shelf, an artificial intelligence and computer vision company that provides autonomous/cashierless checkout, automated inventory intelligence, consumer demographics and behavior tracking, as well as software for in-store analytics and reporting, according to a press release.
AWM Smart Shelf offers ways to expedite and streamline the retail experience, such as its SKU-level planogram placement tool, product mapper, retail analytics engine and dynamic shelf-edge LED displays for customized promotions, advertisements, and digital price tags.
