Dallas tech pub profiles automated coffee shop offering 'pay by face'

Dallas Innovates, an online publication covering Dallas technology, profiled the intelliCafe, an automated coffee shop from Canopy Point Coffee that allows customers to pay with face recognition.

Developed by entrepreneur Jeff Osburn along with Panasonic and Franke Coffee Systems, the platform can make more than 200 different hot and iced coffee shop beverages from Canopy Point Coffee's own roasted specialty coffee.

Panasonic and Franke Coffee System techs service the machine, which connects to the Internet to allow remote monitoring.
