Dallas Morning News: Two Dallas-area physicians are testing self-service check-in systems for their practices. The systems used vary from free-standing kiosks to portable "eClipboards."
"We've been following the development of this technology for a while," said Ravi Nemana, senior adviser and director of IT research at HealthTech, a San Francisco-based nonprofit industry forecaster. "This sort of selective application of technology to improve the productivity of frontline workers in healthcare will be the key to unlocking efficiencies in the future."
