Who would ever expect a finance attorney to be moonlighting as a diaper machine operator?
Erin England, founder of Diaper Concierge, services diaper vending machines in public restrooms at Love Field, Gerald L. Ford Stadium at Southern Methodist University, and starting this week, at DFW International Airport, according to a report in The Dallas Morning News.
The Dallas attorney came up with the idea when she had difficulty finding diapers for her daughter, Alex.
The Diaper Concierge machine is wall mounted, has a touchscreen and takes credit cards. It offers diapers for $3 in three sizes, a package of 10 wipes for $3 and hand sanitizer for $4. A shrink-wrapped diaper package comes with a changing table cover and bag to dispose the used diaper.
The machines also have display space for digital ads and a message noting the company donates a diaper for every sale to the National Diaper Bank Network.
England hopes to expand to other high traffic locations, and hopes to place the machines at Disney parks which she claims have machines that only take quarters.
