Cummins to accelerate EV charging stations on I-80

Cummins Inc., a manufacturer of power solutions, expects to accelerate the installation of EV charging stations along the Interstate 80 Midwest Corridor based on federal funding and standards announced for the National Network of Vehicle Chargers, according to a press release.

Cummins' Medium-Duty, Heavy-Duty Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Planning project on the I-80 Midwest Corridor is among the projects on the government's select list of projects under the federal bipartisan infrastructure law.

In less than two years, the project will develop charging for a corridor serving Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
