Cruz proposes law requiring Capitol Hill vending machines to accept crypto

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has introduced a bill to require cryptocurrency acceptance in vending machines, gift shops and restaurants in Capitol Complex buildings, according to the Congressional Record.

The bill would require the chief administrative office of the House of Representatives, the secretary of the Senate and the architect of the Capitol to contract with vending machine operators and foodservice contractors that accept cryptocurrency.

The resolution was referred to the Committee on rules and Administration.
