Coen Markets Inc., a convenience chain, has launched two check-out free stores. The Amoco store sites, in Oakdale and Southpark, Pennsylvania, are using the Grabango app that lets shoppers pay without needing a checkout experience.

Amoco, a bp brand, is the first to go live with the technology at Coen-owned sites, according to a press release.

"At Coen we're always looking at how technology can improve our shoppers' experiences," Colin Dornish, VP of consumer experience and innovation, Coen Markets, said in the release. "Grabango makes shopping fast and easy for them."

Coen Markets, founded in 1923, primarily serves the Pittsburgh tri-state region.
