Contactless, NFC payments to grow in 2006

Contactless News: In 2006, the adoption of contactless technology is expected to be the year's major trend. Some 15 percent to 20 percent of the active branded-cards in the country are expected to be converted to contactless technology.

Thousands of vending machines, taxi cabs, and kiosks will be contactless-enabled to accept payments, according to industry experts.
