Waukegan, Ill.-based Consumers Credit Union has introduced e-signatures at its kiosks, which are already equipped with video and voice capabilities.
The e-signature capability for CCU's kiosks was provided by Linden, N.J.-based IMM, a provider of e-signature, workflow and document presentment technology for financial institutions.
"This is IMM's initial application of e-signatures in a kiosk-oriented environment, and we anticipate there will be more demand for this capability," John Levy, IMM's co-founder and EVP, said in a statement. Levy is a board member of the Electronic Signature and Records Association.
IMM said its cloud-based Document Exchange technology allows CCU to provide an in-branch self-service experience for its members. The technology pushes loan or credit union membership documents to CCU customers at a specific kiosk for electronic signature.
"Kiosk interactions were previously counter-productive to advancing our larger digital strategy," Michael Mikkelson, CCU's vice president of technology, said in a statement. "This is because, without an electronic means of signing or endorsing non-paper documents, kiosk transactions were interrupted before completion. IMM's technology and expertise allow us to complete transactions at our kiosks."
