AZ Central.com: A central Wisconsin family planning group is testing touchscreens kiosks that let poor women order free condoms and birth control pills. The kiosks feed women's medical and personal information into an already existing state Medicaid program that provides free contraceptive and reproductive health care to poor women. The kiosk intrigues Wisconsin State Department of Health and Family Services officials because it could help save the state money by reducing the number of pregnancies covered by Medicaid. But some conservative lawmakers are outraged at the notion, saying easy-access condoms and birth control pills promote sex.
