Compaq places faith in Info Touch

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Compaq Canada Corp. invested $500,000 in the kiosk technology company Info Touch Technologies Corp. as part of a strategic partnership announced by the two companies on Sept. 5.

Compaq Canada bought 2,143,252 shares of common stock in Info Touch, resulting in a 19.7 percent ownership stake in the company.

Under the terms of the deal, Compaq will develop marketing initiatives with Info Touch and offer its technology in the majority of Info Touch's kiosks. The agreement also covers technology development, and marketing and communications programs.
