Bottlehub, a combination reusable water bottle kiosk and fill station, has been developed to help schools and businesses move away from single-use plastic bottles, according to a press release.
The machine vends empty reusable bottles that are then filled via the germ-killing water fill station.
"With the ever-growing threat of single-use plastic waste, we see a big need for Bottlehub placements in locations all over the U.S. to encourage drinking from reusable bottles and help lower the carbon footprints of schools and businesses," Bottlehub CEO James Trotter said in the press release.
The Orlando, Florida based project began last summer as a way to combat the closure of drinking fountains during COVID-19.
The company is currently looking for distributors.
A portion of the proceeds from Bottlehub sales are donated to an organization called 1% for the Planet which supports organizations working to end single-use plastic bottle usage.
