Comark launches Sphere kiosk
April 26, 2010
Comark Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of high-performance, ruggedized kiosks, has announced the launch of the Sphere kiosk, a multifunctional, interactive kiosk. It is capable of dispensing cards or printing on 8.5 x 11 paper using an integrated wide-format thermal printer. While the kiosk is capable of supporting large peripherals, it maintains a small footprint, taking up less than two square feet of floor space.
The Sphere kiosk is constructed of heavy gauge steel and features dual locking access doors for easy installation and service of both the display and the lower peripherals. Designed with a standard 19-inch LCD with infrared touchscreen and stainless steel keyboard, the kiosk can be configured with an integrated Comark computer or a small form factor desktop PC. Custom painting and graphics are available for advertising requirements or to maintain brand recognition.
The Sphere offers the ability to integrate a number of peripherals including a proximity sensor, camera, ID or credit card reader, and a card dispenser, as well as a bill and coin acceptor. Comark said this makes the Sphere ideal for motor vehicle registry self-service, security, and gift-card or photo multi-media applications.
